1. Drivers. |
|
On collection of the Motorhome the
hirer/drivers will need to present their drivers licence, both
parts if new style photo card, and also 2 additional forms of
identification, one a photo ID e.g., passport and one a recent
ID showing name and current address e.g. bank statement/utility
bill. |
|
Drivers must be aged between 25
and 70, and held a full licence for a minimum of 2 years and
be in good health. Any points/convictions on a licence will be
considered on an individual basis, normally 3-6 points for speeding
or traffic signal violations will incur a small charge. |
|
If you are visiting from abroad,
your licences need to be in English or an International driving
permit needs to be presented with your national licence. |
|
In addition to the main driver for
an additional charge, we are able to insure two further drivers
on production of acceptable licences & ID. |
|
Drivers are personally liable for
all legal penalties (e.g. parking tickets) which are incurred
during the period of hire. |
|
|
|
2. Insurance. |
|
Our Motorhomes have comprehensive
insurance on the UK mainland for the named drivers on the hire
agreement for the period of the hire, please note that this does
note cover your personal property and you are advised to arrange
holiday insurance separately. |
|
You may take the Motorhome to Ireland
or Western Europe, but we need to know in advance and you will
need to purchase our European Insurance & Breakdown at £90
per week. (European cover is subject to approval by our insurers
and is limited to 250 miles per day, excess 10p per mile) |
|
If you are late in returning the
Motorhome, a penalty of £50.00 per hour or part hour will
be charged, this is partly to cover extending the insurance to
avoid you driving uninsured and as compensation for the inconvenience
caused to delay of the Motorhome being unavailable for the start
of the next customers holiday. |
|
Insurance Loading. Easy Hire Motorhomes
may incur additional charges if the driver to be insured has
a traffic conviction, is using a non-UK driving licence or is
in an occupation which is deemed high-risk. These charges will
be passed on other hirer. |
|
Standard Excess. There is a
standard excess of £1,000.00 (£1,250.00 European
Travel). In the event of any damage to either the vehicle or
third party property, the hirer will be liable for the first
£1000.00 (£1,250.00 European Travel). The hirer will
also be fully liable or replacement or repair of windows or tyre
damage. For a small daily fee the Damage Limitation Waiver option
will reduce your excess. |

3. Security Deposit. |
A £750 refundable deposit
is payable by credit or debit card on the day of the hire. (Two
weeks if paying by cheque) (£1,250 for sports fixtures/music
festivals) This is fully refundable within three days on the
condition that the Motorhome is returned at the agreed date and
time, in the same condition as it was hired out to you, with
the toilet and the waste water empty, the interior clean including
all cooking appliances and the tank full of fuel. Failure to
return the vehicle in clean condition will incur a £50.00
valeting charge.
The hirer should be aware that the security deposit will be used
to fund any loss or damage what so ever to equipment, fixtures
and fittings, windows, tyres or negligent damage to the vehicle. |

4. Booking. |
|
Bookings can be made on line, by
phone, post or in person. A deposit of £250 per week will
confirm your booking but will need to be paid within 4 days of
your initial request. All major credit/debit cards accepted.
Confirmation of your booking will be issued by post. |
|
The balance of the rental costs
will need to be settled six weeks before the start of your hire.
An invoice reminder will be issued for this balance. |
|
On the day of the hire a security
deposit of £750 will need to paid. An invoice reminder
will be issued for this security deposit if you wish to pay by
cheque, please let us know. |
|
Easy Hire Motorhomes reserves the
right to cancel the booking if payment is not received six weeks
prior to departure. Payment is by credit, debit card or a pounds
sterling cheque. For late bookings (less than six weeks before
departure) the full rental price is payable on booking. Vehicles
will not be released without full payment being completed. Cheques
will not be acceptable for late bookings (less than 2 weeks prior
to departure). |

5. Credit/Debit Cards. |
|
Visa card, MasterCard, Amex, Solo,
Switch and Maestro are accepted. Credit Card payments will incur
2½% interest, Amex 5%, There is no charge for Debit Cards. |
|
|
|
6. Extras. |
Additional driver with a UK license
(UK travel only) £3 per person per day, clean driving licence
Additional driver with a UK license (Europe travel) £4
per person per day, clean driving licence
Points on license: from £3 per day, depending on number
& type of points
Non UK driver's license holder (UK travel only) £4 per
day
Non UK driver's license holder (Europe travel) £4.50 per
day
Airport to depot transfer: Manchester Airport - £40 each
way per hire. Manchester Train Station - £40 each way per
hire. Other pick ups - please enquire.
Damage Limitation Waiver (DLW) - £15 per day for 3-4 day
hires. £12 per day for 7+ day hires. This will reduce your
insurance excess from £1000.00 to £500.00 in the
UK, and from £1250.00 to £750.00 for European hires. |

7. Cancellations. |
If the cancellation is more than
6 weeks prior to the collection day, you will forfeit your deposit.
If you cancel less than 6 weeks before the collection day, you
will forfeit the deposit and any hire fees paid
We recommend you take out adequate insurance to cover unforeseen
cancellation.
If, on arrival to collect the Motorhome, your licence is unacceptable
due to endorsements, defacement or incorrect vehicle categories,
no monies will be refunded. |

|
8. Motorhome Collection and Return. |
Collection is between 4.00pm and
6.00pm.
We would like to spend at least an hour with you especially if
it is your first time with a Motorhome. You will be shown all
the operations of the Motorhome and we ensure that you are comfortable
with everything.
We will check your documentation and finalise the paperwork.
We will agree any damage already present and also the inventory
of equipment supplied.
Returns need to be between 8.00am and 10.00am on the day of return.
Sorry we do insist on you being punctual, as we want to make
sure the vehicle is fully prepared & serviced for the next
group to enjoy their holiday.
Late returns will incur fees at the rate of £50 per hour
or part hour. If you will be late returning, the rental company
must be advised immediately. Failure to advise may result in
prosecution for driving whilst uninsured.
The fuel tank needs to be full of diesel, otherwise £20
+ FUEL will be incurred.
The waste water empty, otherwise £30 will be incurred.
The toilet empty and clean, otherwise £50 will be incurred.
The overall cleanliness of the Motorhome should be in the same
condition as from when you collected it. Failure to return the
vehicle in clean condition will incur a £50.00 standard
valeting charge or heavy valet charge of £100.00.
The Motorhome will be checked for damage and the inventory for
any shortages. |

9. Breakdowns. |
|
All our Motorhomes carry full breakdown
and recovery cover, in the case of breakdown or accident a 24
hour phone number is provided on the windscreen of the Motorhome. |
|
Please contact us if any problems
arise. |
|
In the case of breakdowns, which
are the fault of the hirer (e.g. filling with the wrong type
of fuel), any costs incurred will be the responsibility of the
hirer. |
|
|
|
10. Responsibilities and Liabilities. |
|
The hirer is responsible for any
traffic offences committed against the road traffic act, parking
fines or congestion charges whilst the vehicle is in their charge |
|
The hirer is responsible for daily
checks to the Motorhome of fluid levels, bulbs and tyre pressures,
batteries. |
|
The hirer is responsible for damage
to tyres, windscreens, windows, interior and exterior damage
to the Motorhome. |
|
The hirer is responsible for locking
doors and windows when the vehicle is left unattended. |
|
The ignition key must be removed
when the Motorhome is not being driven. |
|
Easy Hire Motorhomes cannot accept
any liability for replacement vehicle costs, travel or accommodation
costs or consequential losses from a breakdown or accident. |
|
Easy Hire Motorhomes will make every
effort to make sure your reserved Motorhome is ready on time,
but in circumstances beyond our control where the vehicle is
not available and a suitable alternative is unavailable our liability
will be limited to refunding the payments made. |
|
When the vehicle is in motion passengers
must be seated in the designated seats wearing the seat belt
provided, the gas must be turned off and any items not bolted
down made secure. |
|
Drinking Water. We cannot be held
responsible for the cleanliness of drinking water obtained from
various campsites although we do provide water purifying tablets
with each hire. |
|
|
|
12. Smoking. |
|
Easy Hire Motorhomes operate a strictly
enforced no smoking policy.If you decide to ignore this policy
valeting charges will be incurred. This means that you will lose
your Security Deposit and also any cost of replacing any items
damaged by or from the smell of cigarettes, pipes or cigars etc
will be charged accordingly. |

11. Animals. |
|
No animals are permitted in our
Motorhomes. The only exception is guide dogs and Easy Hire Motorhomes
must be informed at the time of booking. If you decide to ignore
this policy valeting charges will be incurred as will the cost
of replacing any items damaged by or from the smell of animals. |
